1D FanFic Ch. 10 Dress Right

"La petite poule grise
L'tait un petite' poul', une petite poule, grise
Qu'allait ponder dans l'glise…" I sang in French as I rocked back and forth on my feet, Cherish yawning in my arms.
"Why are you singing to my daughter in French, Mir?" Niall asked, coming in and planting a kiss on my cheek, he had some kind of food in his mouth , but I didn't ask.
"Because she's going to speak French." I said.
"Why?"
"Because you don't speak it."
"Why would you do that to me?" Niall asked, wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my neck.
"So we can talk about boys without you listening in." I smiled, turning my head to look at him. "See, I'm smart." I said in French.
"I know Je and I can assume intellegente means smart" He said, and kissed me.
Apparently, he had been eating a carrot; but he had swallowed it, thankfully
"Hey, I'm holding the baby, wouldn't want her to get the wrong impression." I teased, and Niall laughed. "Hey, I was hoping to go out shopping with the Kat later today, is that alright with you?"
"Of course it is." Niall grinned, swaying back and forth with me, and Cherish gave another yawn. "She's such a sweetheart." He said, stroking her face gently.
"Kat's been pestering me about letting her babysit Cherish for a night sometime." I said, leaning my head on Niall's shoulder.
"Sounds just like her." Niall laughed, kissing my cheek. "Definitely the night of the wedding." He whispered into my ear, and I grinned.
Then my phone buzzed. "Hold her." I said, handing Cherish to Niall, who's smile just turned into a grin as he made funny faces for her.
"Hey, Kat! What's up?" I said, answering the phone.
"I'm outside, that's what's up!" Kat said, and I laughed.
"I'll be right out." I said through my laughs, hanging up. "I'm heading out, Niall."
Niall looked up at me and smiled. "Wait just a moment, please." He said, setting Cherish into her playpen, and walking up to me. "You need a proper kiss." He smiled, putting his arms around my waist. "Because you haven't had one in about six months." With that, he pulled me into a slow, passionate kiss that made my head spin.
Kat honking from outside made us break apart.
"I love you, Niall." I said, curling my fingers around the back of his neck, our foreheads pressed against each other's.
"I love you too, Miracle." He said, giving me one last kiss before I left.
"Took you long enough." Kat said, giving me a teasing look.
I blushed, and smiled, and Kat nodded.
"So, are we shopping for your dress or my dress?" Kat asked, backing out of my driveway.
"Mine. I have all of your dresses picked out." I grinned, and panic flooded Kat's face.
"What?"
"You heard me!" I said. "Don't worry, Niall confirmed them."
"That's not comforting." Kat said, her face completely drained of color. "Anyhow, we need to find you the perfect dress."
"Yes, we do." I smiled, I was excited. Everyone asked me if I was nervous as the wedding got closer, I was, but only that I would trip on my way down the isle, but not about marrying Niall. I was only excited about that.
When we got to the store I couldn't hold back a smile. "Ready for this?" Kat asked, holding the door open for me.
"Yeah, I am." I smiled, and we walked into the store.
There were rows of wedding dresses, it was more than a little over whelming.
"Can I help you ladies with something?" A Scottish sales lady said, all smiles, walking up to us.
"She's the bride, I'm just a bridesmaid." Kat said, pointing to me.
"What are you looking for, sweetie?" She asked, she was at least twenty-five, and I could tell by the way she spoke to me she thought I was just a little girl.
"Something… Smooth. White, obviously, but with silver accents." I said, and she looked surprised at how specific I was.
"Right this way." She said, motioning for us to follow her. Kat ad I exchanged glances. "Say, haven't I seen you two some where?"
"In magazines probably." I said, and Kat rolled her eyes. "We're both dating members of One Direction."
"Oh, yeah, you're engaged to Niall." She said, giving me a plastic smile. I had to force myself not to punch her. "Here's the dresses with silver accents."
"I think we can take it from here." Kat said, giving her an even more plastic smile.
"Well, let me know if you need any more help." She said, and walked away.
"She seems like a bitch." Kat said, and I held back a laugh.
"Did you hear the way she talked to me? Like I was a baby! Actually, I talk to Cherish kindly." I said, and Kat nodded.
"What about this one?" She said, pulling out a short, strapless dress.
"Cute, but I want something that touches the ground." I said decidedly.
"I'll keep that in mind." Kat nodded, smiling. She was having as much fun here as I was.
We were there for hours.
"Mir, when are you coming home?" Niall said from the other side if the phone.
"Soon, I promise." I said, there was no luck with the dress. "I love you, Niall."
"I love you too." He sighed, but I could here the sincerity. He was just very tired, he didn't have my baby skills.
"Miracle Veronique Espoir soon-to-be Horan!" Kat shouted eagerly.
"I have to go, Kat's calling for me."
"Be home soon, love."
"I will." I hung up and hurried over to Kat.
"I found it." She grinned, holding out the dress.
"Oh my god, Kat!" I gasped, taking it from her. "It's perfect! I have to try it on."
I snatched it from her and we raced to the fitting rooms.
In fifteen minutes, the one-of-a-kind dress was mine.
"It has to stay at my house, so that Niall can't peek." Kat said, and I nodded.
"Agreed. But don't ever take it out of its bag."
"Deal." Kat laughed as she pulled into my driveway.
"No luck?" Niall asked, picking me up and spinning me around when I walked through the door.
"Wrong, it's just staying at Kat's place so you cannot see it." I said with a smile, and he gave a fake sigh.
"Dang, I was really hoping to see it, oh well!" He said, and laughed.
"Where's my baby?" I grinned, picking her up out of her playpen.
"Momma!" She said when she looked at me, touching my nose.
"Oh my god!" I exclaimed, dancing around the room.
"Lucky!" Niall said jealously, putting his arm around my waist and pulling me onto his lap.
"I can't believe she just said that." I said, ginning like an idiot. "Oh, and Kat agreed to have Cherish stay at her house while we're on our honeymoon."
"Only three months." Niall said excitedly, kissing my forehead before turning on the television.
Dinosaur documentaries. "This is why I love you." I laughed.
"Just giving Cherish a head start on her dinosaur knowledge, that way she can keep up with you!" Niall teased, messing up my hair. "That's why I love you."
