I stood there as my father signed that they could shut off the machine keeping my mother alive. It had been a month and a half since she went into a coma, and she wasn't improving, only getting worse. The doctors said there was no way she could recover, and it could take years for her to die if we didn't shut off the machines.
Dad just stood ext to me, both of us watching the heart monitor screen as it slowed down, and then became a flat line.
Everyone else had left when he signed. But not us.
I could feel my heart being tor to pieces. As soon as the long beep started I ran from the room to where Niall was sitting.
He stood up and threw his arms around me when I ran to him, sobbing. I had never cried so hard in my life.
"I'm here for you, babe." He whispered into my ear, and kissed my temple.
I heard my father walk past us. He stopped when he was behind us.
"That's just how I held your mother when she would cry." He said, his voice broke, and then he walked away.
Niall tightened his arms around me. "Let's get you out of here." He said, I didn't stop crying the whole way back to the mansion.
It seemed empty without Mom going through every room making sure everything is in perfect order. It seemed quiet without Mom's muttering about how we never put things back right echoing off the walls. It seemed empty.
Niall never let go of my hand, and always had an arm around my waist when we were sitting.
No one could stop crying, even Niall cried.
No one entered the kitchen, Mom always did the cooking. The pot  she had set of the stove was still sitting there. No one had gone in the kitchen for a week, it's true.
Niall held me so close when we went to bed, it was enough to keep me from crying myself to sleep.
I had my hands on the stomach, which was just beginning to show, the entire night.
When I woke up Niall was awake, lying next to me, stroking my hair.
"Hello." I said, managing a weak smile for him.
"Hello." He said, smiling at me. His smile was weak as mine.
I sat up and got out of bed, followed by Niall.
A tear slid down my cheek when I reached my vanity. A picture of Mother holding me when I had just been born was sitting there.
"Niall, I need a moment." I said, burying my face in my hand. "Alone."
"Alright." He said lovingly, and left the room.
I sat down on the bed and cried hysterically.
Then I suddenly felt light-headed and dizzy. Something was wrong. I looked down and blood was coming from between my legs.
"Niall." I shouted, and he came inside.
I looked at him. "Get me to a hospital." I said hoarsely.
Niall picked me up and carried m to our rental. Everyone stared at us as we passed.
I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I knew what was going on. I prayed I was wrong.
Niall helped me walk inside.
They got us through very quickly.
I laid on the hospital bed as they searched for my baby's heartbeat.
They couldn't find it They tried an ultra sound. He wasn't moving. Tears streamed down my face before he even said anything.
"It was a miscarriage." The doctor said, and Niall squeezed my hand.
In an hour my baby boy was out of my body, and I was crying in Niall's arms in the car, he was sobbing just as hard as I was.
When we got home I was still crying, and so was Niall.
"What happened?" My father asked, seeing us. His voice was still raspy from crying all yesterday.
I put a hand to my stomach and he immediately knew. "Oh, I'm so sorry." He said, wrapping his arms around me.
After we got past my family I just wanted to lay in bed. Niall changed the blanket and sheets for me, as the ones he removed had blood on them.
I laid down and Niall pulled the blanket around me, getting in ext to me, putting his arms around my waist. I rolled over so that I was facing him.
I curled up into his body and cried myself to sleep.
Yes, you can cry now, if it made you want to.

I...am crying. Whilst reading this, I was listening to 'Superhero' by Cher Lloyd. It made it 10 times worse! but it was beautifully written.
