Eira looked around for a spare weapon desperately from where she stood. She would die quickly and cowardly if she had no weapon. Or she would use the powers she had as a snow goddess, which was forbidden. But she would have no choice, would she?
Bor struck Loki down quickly and lifted his sword, arching two swords at Eira quickly, screaming out a curse at her.
Eira stumbled back and ducked, somersaulting in the sand of the cage and dodging another blow. “Stop! Aloisia, stop him!” she screamed, diving to the ground after another swing from Bor nearly took her head off.
Aloisia did nothing but smirk at her. Eira turned herself over in the sand just in time to form a blockade of ice that stopped a killing blow from Bor.
The long-dead god stumbled back, his sword stuck in the ice as Eira scrambled to her feet. Aloisia was starring at her, unable to move from shock as Eira opened the door and practically dragged Loki out of the cage and viewing room.
“Go into the grove of mistletoe and I will follow in an hour.” Eira told Loki, looking up at him. “Go.” With that, he nodded and walked into the small grove.
It wasn’t really a grove, but it was called that. Mistletoe had been grown to cover the walls of the room it had once been millions of years ago,  and now it was just “the grove”.
Eira hid in a small thicket of trees nearly  an hour before slipping into the small mistletoe grove. “I am going to make you… alive again.” She informed, pulling a knife from her thigh and cutting her hand across the palm. She pressed her bloody hand to the center of his chest and said a few words in the language of the Valkeries, and immediately the vibrancy of life returned to Loki’s body.
“And now we need to go.” Eira said, healing her hand quickly and grabbing his hand, speaking in the language of the Valkeries to teleport them away.
They were both thrown to the ground by icy winds as the settings changed, the mistletoe turning to the barren, icy hills of Niflheim.
“We-we’ll be safe here, for the time-time being.” Eira said shivering. Use of her powers would make her impervious to the cold, but for the time being she was freezing.
Loki, who was more than accustomed to ice as his bloodline was truly that of  the frost giants, removed the other layer of his armor and draped it over her as he helped her to stand, quickly locating a cave and making a fire.
“This is not the Loki everyone tells stories of.” Eira remarked, still shaking inside the armor. “This is a kind god whom seems greatful to be returned to life.”
“I am greatful.” Loki promised. “I have a debt to repay you, if I can. And I intend to endeavor to do as such.”
Eira smiled. ”Thank you, Loki.”
“That’s the first time you’ve used my name.” he remarked, examining her with dark blue eyes.
“This is the first time that I’ve known you that your name has truly meant more than a dead man.” She responded honestly, looking up at him. “Or, a dead god, really. Now it means the resurrected Prince of Asgaurd.”
Loki scanned her for a moment. “How have you survived this long as a Valkerie?”
“I learned to hide my fear of them.” Eira answered simply. “It was the only thing I knew to do, hide my fear and learn how to fight. I kept me safe until you appeared.”
“Why is that?”
Eira looked at the flames silently, memorizing their patterns.
“Eira?” Loki asked, sitting next to her.
“It became different because I fell in love with you.” She looked at him and then looked back to the ground of the cave. For a moment there was only silence between them, and then his mouth was on hers, kissing her softly.
Eira gasped in the back of her throat, her eyes wide open as his fingers curled around her waist underneath his outer coat. She slowly kissed him back, sliding her arms around his neck and tangling her fingers through his pitch-black hair.
“Eira?” he pulled back and looked at her.
“Yes?” she blinked her eyes wide and in a state of disbelief.
“What happens if they find us here?”
“We both die.” She exhaled and retracted her arms from his neck. “Or they torture us for all eternity.”
Loki nodded and looked at the fire. “Then they can’t find us, at any costs.”
Eira nodded silently, sliding his armor off and handing it back to him as he focused on the flames.
sorry it's shorter xx
