X-Men FanFic Ch 5

Evangeline unwrapped her leg, it had been two weeks, and she could walk again without a bandage.
"Evangeline? You in here?" Xander poked his head around the door, smiling when he saw her.
Rachel skippied in quickly after him, a magazine in her hands.
"Evangeline, in "Mutant Weekly"  it says that mutant cupples won't last long if they can't pass this quiz." Rachel said, reading through the magazine.
"I don't read magazines for that reason." Evangeline sighed, as Xander pulled her ontohis lap.
"I see your leg's heeled perfectly."  Xander commnented happily, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Woman: What is your partners biggest secret?" Rachel read off the first question without promting.
"His slight lack of control." Evangeline sighed, glaring at rachel from the corner of her eye.
"You make it sound so minor." Xander laughed.
"Man: What is your partners main power?"
"The ability to turn flesh to stone." Xander said, stroking Evangelline's face.
Evangeline blushed and leaned her head on Xander's shoulder.
"Wman-"
"no offence, Rachel, but this kind of stuff doesn't interest us." Xander cut in, glancing at the door.
"Sorry, I... I'll just leave."  Rachel sighed, closing the magazine and leaving, pausng to wink back at Xander. "Be careful."
"Promise." Xander nodded as Rachel shut the door behind her.
Evangline sat up.
"We're alone." She said, getting up, suddenly uncomfortable.
"Hey, don't worry, I wasn'r thinking anything like that." Xander said, standing up behind her.
"Well, good." Evangeline said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Xander protested, taking a step back.
"My parents weren't married when they had me, they never got married. And now their dead, same with Rachel's parents. I'm just... Just scared that'll happen to me, and my children." Evangeline said, crying again.
Xander pulled her against him and kissed her.
"I totally respect that, and I can understand why." He smiled, sitting down on a chair, pulling Evangeline onto his lap.

"So, what happened with you and Xander?" Rachel teased, braiding her hair.
"We... We were making out, it got pretty intense." Evangeline said, looking down and blushing a deep rich shade of blue.
"Oh my god! Did you... Ya' know, do the deed?" Rachel raised her eyerows, implying the unsaid.
"What? No! No. I'm not ready for that.
"My parents were, and they got me. It can't be that bad." Rachel smiled, tying off her braid.
"I could have a mini you? Now I know I'm definitly not ready." Evangeline teased.
"Well, gee thanks. And who kows, it might be blue, and have a tail." Rachel said, holding back a laugh.
"God, I hope no one else in my family has to go through this! I hate being blue! And having a tail." Evageline complained, slapping a pillow to her face and flopping down onto her bed.
"It's not that bad." Rachel shrugged.
"Wait, have you?" evangeline sat up immediately.
"Yeah, afew times... Maybe, like, six? I don't know, I haven't been counting." Rachel shrugged again, straightening the rest of her hair.
"Rachel, you've only ever had seven relationships!" Evangeline said, her mouth gaing open.
"And your point is?" Rachel stuck her tongue out at Evangeline. "You've had like, three before Xander."
"Yeah, but we never had sex! we barley even kissed... before Xander." Evangline blushed.
"it'scoming, i can tell that much." achel said, still straightening her hair.
